From ComputerWorld:
Congress takes another swing at ending warrantless reading of emails
Legislation that aims to put a stop to warrantless reading of emails got a fillip Wednesday with bills introduced both in the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives to amend the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.
Just a side note here. Anyone who knows me knows I am on the side of Law Enforcement. I even try to volunteer my time to assist LE on a pro bono basis. However on this, you want to read my email, image my cellphone ... get a warrant.
