Plex forums hacked: IPs, private messages, encrypted passwords compromised

Users of Plex's forums are being forced to change their password in wake of a breach that resulted in the compromise of some of their private information, including passwords.

"At approximately 1pm PDT yesterday (July 1st) we learned that the server which hosts our forums and blog was compromised. The attacker was able to gain access to some personal information, such as IP addresses, forum private messages, email addresses, and encrypted (hashed and salted) passwords for our forum users," Chris Curtis, a support engineer at Plex,
explained in a blog post.
